Celebrating 10 Years of Fuente Dynamics

Ten years ago, Fuente Dynamics entered a rapidly evolving energy market. In 2016, electricity markets across the Western Balkans were at a different stage of development. Market liberalisation was still progressing, cross-border trading opportunities were more limited, and renewable energy was only beginning to emerge as a major force in the region’s energy landscape.
Over the past decade, the sector has undergone a remarkable transformation. New market structures have been established, power exchanges have been launched, regional integration has accelerated, and renewable energy has become a key driver of investment and growth.
Throughout this period, Fuente Dynamics has grown alongside these developments.
What began as a regional electricity trading company has evolved into an established market participant operating across Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Austria and Italy. Today, the company combines electricity trading, supply, renewable energy commercialisation, and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) structuring, serving a diverse portfolio of industrial consumers, renewable energy producers, and market participants in Southeast Europe.
Over the years, Fuente Dynamics has built a strong track record in electricity trading and supply, managing annual transaction volumes of up to 400,000 MWh. Supported by a team of approximately 45 professionals operating across its active markets, the company continues to expand its regional footprint while maintaining a strong focus on reliability, market expertise and long-term partnerships.
The company has also developed significant experience in the renewable energy sector, supporting photovoltaic, wind and hydropower projects through physical offtake agreements, market access solutions and PPA structures. Through partnerships with renewable energy producers across the region, Fuente Dynamics has contributed to the integration of renewable generation into increasingly interconnected electricity markets.
A key milestone in this journey was the award by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania for the development of a 41.8 MW photovoltaic park, currently under construction, alongside an additional 81 MW under development. These projects reflect the company’s long-term commitment to supporting the region’s energy transition and strengthening its presence across the renewable energy value chain.
As the company has grown, so too has its engagement with the wider European energy community. Fuente Dynamics is an Associate Member of Energy Traders Europe, the leading association representing energy trading companies across Europe, and continues to invest in professional development, with members of its trading team
holding exchange trading licences and certifications from major European power exchanges, including ALPEX, HUPX and EEX.
Beyond commercial activities, Fuente Dynamics believes in investing in future generations. Throughout the years, the company has supported educational initiatives and opportunities that help young people gain international exposure and access to world-class academic experiences, reflecting its commitment to contributing positively to
the communities in which it operates.
